What is a wedding show?

A wedding show is an event where engaged couples can meet a variety of wedding professionals and get ideas and inspiration for their big day. It’s the perfect opportunity to taste wedding cakes, see beautiful flowers, and find the latest fashions. You can also find money-saving special offers on everything from invitations to photography. Whether you are just getting started with your planning or finishing up the final details, you’ll find everything you need to get from ‘To Do’ to ‘I Do’.

I already found lots of things online, so why should I attend?

A wedding show provides you with something that the wedding websites don’t, which is the opportunity to taste, touch, and see things up close and in person.

You’ll be trusting a lot of wedding pros on your special day, and a show provides an efficient way to meet them in person before you commit.  The wedding pros who exhibit at the show are there because they would love to be chosen as part of your wedding team. They are local businesses with ties to the community.

Plus, with so much to see and do, the show will be a whole lot of fun for your and your entire wedding tribe.

Can I bring my wedding party, family, and friends?

Bring them all (and that includes your fiance) so they can share this fun day with you. Everyone loves wedding shopping!

What should I bring?

To get the most out of your show experiences, it’s a good idea to plan ahead.  First, go in with a priority list of things you still need. Research the list of exhibitors beforehand and make note of those you want to check out. This will help you to stay organized and ensure that you don’t miss anyone. You might want to bring color swatches and fabric samples.

Wear comfortable shoes and plan to arrive early. Many exhibitors will be conducting prize drawings, and you’ll save time if you bring some address labels with your name, contact info, and wedding date.

Will I be able to get some great deals?

Many of the exhibitors at the show will have discounts and special offers that are available only at the show. While there’s no pressure to buy on the spot, you might find a deal that is too good to pass up.

What questions should we be asking the exhibitors?

A show is a very efficient way to check out all of your options in a single day. Be prepared with a list of questions that are important to your decision-making process. You might want to start by checking availability on your wedding date.  If they’re booked, you don’t have to waste your time or theirs.

Does it make sense to order tickets in advance?

Most of our attendees order their tickets in advance from our website. While your chances are good that tickets will be available on the day of the show, you’ll save time by arriving with your tickets in hand (or on your phone!)

How long should I plan on staying?

If you’re just getting started with your wedding planning, you might want to spend the entire day. Plan to arrive early so you’re first in line when the doors open.

If you’re just wrapping up the remaining details, you might need just an hour or two.  If that’s you, then consider skipping the first hour to avoid the early rush.

What about parking?

Every venue has a different parking situation. Some of our show venues have free parking while others charge a fee. Check the individual show pages for parking costs and details. Start HERE to find our list of shows.
